Bishop Roger Johnson Sr.

Bishop Roger Johnson, Sr.

Bishop Roger was licensed as a minister in 1985 and ordained in 1986 by Apostle Robert A. Hill of Ypsilanti, MI.  In 1990 the Lord called him to the pastorate, Christian Faith Church that was founded by he and his wife, whom we call Pastor Linda.

Bishop’s vision and purpose for Christian Faith is to be a visible manifestation of God’s glory in the earth, so that we may accomplish the greater work of evangelism in the world for Jesus Christ through word and deed.  It is also his goal to present unto the Father true worshippers by practicing the distinctiveness of the Christian lifestyle at all times through love, faith and fellowship.  Bishop teaches that we are to clearly and accurately represent Jesus Christ, the church, Christianity and the community with the revelation knowledge of the word of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and take our rightful place in the earth being the head and not the tail.

He was employed by General Motors for 34 years, in 2006 he retired.  Bishop is a licensed Journeyman and Machine Repairman.

He was consecrated as Bishop in 2003 by Bishop Rudolph Stanfield.  In 2004 he was granted and awarded certificates of merit by CBA Bible Institute School of Theology in Baccalaureate of Divinity, Baccalaureate of Religious Theology, and Baccalaureate of Religious Preaching.  He attended classes and was dean at Christian Faith through the Evangel Christian Church.  Bishop has many awards and acknowledgements for service rendered in the community and the state of Michigan.
